Seyboth Wild led early but now it is 6-6 in the match tiebreak with Rublev as the No.5 seed tries to stay in the tournament.
Seyboth Wild looked primed to win at 3-0 up but now Rublev has served himself to a 8-6 lead in a tiebreak to 10 points.

Seyboth Wild fights back four match points to force tiebreak
Rublev had four match points against Seyboth Wild’s serve, but he couldn’t convert them. The Brazilian fought back each time, going from 0-40 down and the advantage down to win back control of the game and win it for 6-6 in the fifth set.
They are now caught in a match tiebreaker, which will be won by the first player to reach 10 points.
Seyboth Wild leads 3-0.

Chile fans going wild for Garin
Cries of “OIe, Ole, Ole, Ole – CHILE” are ringing out on court three after Garin won the third set to lead 2-1 going into the fourth.
He pointed to some of his fans and showed them so love. O’Connell has good support too but the Chilean fans are right behind their star today.

Garin within a game of winning third set
Garin has maintained his break on O’Connell in this third set and now leads 5-3 with the Aussie to serve next to stay in the set.
There is little between these two players but Garin earned his break early in the set, with the game tied at one set each, and has retained it throughout this set.
O’Connell has to hold this serve or he will be doing two sets to one.

Rublev gets a break
Rublev looked to have pulled himself together after taking a 40-0 lead against Seyboth Wild’s serve but the Brazilian came up with a stunning winner at the net to take advantage and then an ace to win the game.
It’s now 2-2 with Rublev to serve. He’s a highly emotional player and those emotions are on show now.

Rublev and Seyboth Wild are now into the fifth set with a clearly frustrated Rublev screaming in disgust at his play.
I reckon he is being a bit hard on himself but that last furious yell was a sign he just isn’t happy on court, especially as this match drags into its third hour.
Rublev is up 1-0 in the last set with Seyboth Wild to serve.

The decision to move the start of the Australian Open to a Sunday looks to be a successful one as 58,623 people attended today’s first day.
The first day is usually a popular one, even when it fell on a Monday, but fans seem to be more than happy with this move.

Rublev screams in frustration
Andrey Rublev was in command of his first round match at two sets to love but he’s since been dragged back into a contest by Thiago Seyboth Wild from Brazil who is serving to lock the match up at two sets each.
Thiago has roared back with a 6-3 win in the third and, if he holds serve, a 6-4 win in the fourth.
Rublev wanted a straights sets victory, now he is fighting to keep his tournament alive.

Garin has broken O’Connell’s serve to start the third set and then held his own service game for a 2-0 lead.
O’Connell had no answers for his shot placement.
The Australian will need a fightback to stay competitive in this set.
Garin leads 6-3, 5-7, 2-0.
