Head drawing support from locals
A sponsor’s float has taken up the space where the old “Bay 13” used to be during cricket matches at the MCG.
For decades, fans have flocked to Bay 13 to drink and be merry, but losing the spot hasn’t stopped them, they’ve just congregated in the bays next to it and enjoying some chanting, drinks and hijinks.

The fans in that section have adopted Travis Head as their man on the ground, possibly because he was fielding in front of them and he has responded with some Merv Hughes’ like warm-up stretches and a few playful waves.
Chants of “Head, Head, Head” have been heard from time to time as well.
Pakistan are 3-141 with Shan on 53 and Saud on two.
Shan passes 50
Credit to Shan who has led from the front for Pakistan today and he has passed his 50 despite the excitement of Cummins’ fast bowling.
He will have to bat with even more control to stop a collapse as Australia have the momentum.

Shan clubs Lyon for six
The Pakistan captain is taking to Lyon clubbing a straight drive for six and taking the partnership past 50 runs between the pair.
Starc is beating the bat at times but has yet to find the ball that dismisses either of these batters.
Pakistan are 1-90 with Abdullah on 47 and Shan on 28.

Shan hit Lyon for four in his first ball after lunch while both Shan and Abdullah played cut shots against shorter balls in the same over.
Pakistan’s aggression against the veteran spinner impressed former Australian spinner Kerry O’Keefe.
