Two teenagers were killed and three people were seriously injured in a crash involving off-road motorbikes near Melton on Sunday night.
The major collision investigation unit has appealed for witnesses, dashcam or CCTV footage as they try to work out how the accident occurred.
Police have been told at least two off-road motorbikes and potentially a quad bike were travelling on Beattys Road, which runs through Grangefields, just after 6.35pm when the crash happened.
Police said an 18-year-old Altona Meadows woman died at the scene. A critically injured 17-year-old Hoppers Crossing boy was taken to hospital, where he died overnight.

A six-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy, both from Hoppers Crossing, were taken to hospital with serious injuries and a 43-year-old Altona Meadows man also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
